This does increase the risk of an EMP attack by Iran against this country. Thoughts ?
Iran doesn't have a delivery mechanism that could accomplish that. They are likely to have a nuke now, since Biden finished the help that Obama gave them in that department. But a nuke isn't an EMP until it's detonated at the right altitude. This does increase the risk of an EMP attack by Iran against this country. Thoughts ?
Sure, just like it was easy to ignore that Austrian dude with the funny mustache last time around. My dive buddy lives in Orlando.
Trying to ignore this is like trying to avoid my house flooding because he left his garden hose running.
Yes, but unfortunately we stopped.Sure, just like it was easy to ignore that Austrian dude with the funny mustache last time around.
Why should we give a fuck about some 3rd rate Austrian Duke getting killed in Europe. He doesn't mean anything to us over here.
And who cares if the Japanese invade China, that's way the fuck over there. Won't affect us at all, right ?
Austria was a tiny insignificant European nobody in the 20th century. A lot more insignificant than Iran.
Was it a good idea to ignore them ?
Modern day lions, tigers and bears.Drones, ballistic and cruise missiles being shot down.
It is our problem. It's just not obvious right now.Yes, but unfortunately we stopped.
Not our problem.
It's more like worrying about your house flooding when your buddy in Florida leaves his garden hose on.It is our problem. It's just not obvious right now.
The world is a small place.
If you live on the 4th floor of an apartment building, and a guy on the first floor is cooking meth, do you say "not my problem until be blows the place up ?"
'Cause right now that guy's lighting his apartment and the one across the hall on fire.
Do you really think that the events in the middle east won't affect us here ?It's more like worrying about your house flooding when your buddy in Florida leaves his garden hose on.
Believe it or not the Argumentum ad Hitlerum isn't very strong.
"Affect" != "Affect us in a manner in which we should respond and really screw ourselves. "Do you really think that the events in the middle east won't affect us here ?
Do you think the events in Ukraine haven't either ?
Florida may be a long ways away for a garden hose.
But everywhere in earth is an hour away by ICBM.
Maybe you think California is a long ways from NY too. Until Newsome comes up with some new gun control that Hochul just won't be out done by.
You old enough to remember the oil embargo of the 70s ?"Affect" != "Affect us in a manner in which we should respond and really screw ourselves. "
That perpetually running garden hose may eventually raise utility costs here. The answer still is not to drain the lakes in order to attempt to down Orlando.
The California thing was just a bizarre comparison. Washington state just had it's mag ban ruled unconstitutional. Should we continue life here like it won't affect us?
Yes.
Wait... didn't we create the problem of making ourselves oil dependent on our own?You old enough to remember the oil embargo of the 70s ?
No, that didn't affect us here at all.
And despite what the loons on the left cry, oil *is* worth fighting for. It is literally the life blood of modern society. Anything that affects that global market *does* affect us.
*Today* the Iranian proxy army in Yemen (aka Hezbollah *is* threatening global shipping through one of the most important channels in the world.
Like it or not, globalization means *everywhere* is our back yard now.
You can stick your head in the sand all you want, but that doesn't mean you won't get bit when the mess happens.
Rest easy, everyone. Brandon's got this
Iranian flight tests of their Shahab-3 medium-range missileIran doesn't have a delivery mechanism that could accomplish that. Pretty sure Iran getting a nuke on a suborbital trajectory over the continental US is just beyond their capabilities.
So, the risk is zero now, and it was zero before, so that means it is unchanged.
I resisted for a long time. Unfortunately, traditional media is dead. Even if there was a 10:00 news that was trustworthy, ain't nobody got time for that. Nevermind newspapers.
My son is 17. I really don't like the direction we're headed in.
Was reading an article a few years back talking about the possibility of a ship based missal off the coast being able to deliver an emp from them since they don’t have the ability to do it from within their own borders. A simple cargo ship with a basic launcher hidden among the containers.Iran doesn't have a delivery mechanism that could accomplish that. They are likely to have a nuke now, since Biden finished the help that Obama gave them in that department. But a nuke isn't an EMP until it's detonated at the right altitude.

Nope. They announced almost immediately afterwards that Brandon wouldn't be addressing anybody.did this happen?
She's and Congress are already holding them.Hmm so I wonder what stocks pelosi will be buying or selling on Monday. Might be time for some trades.
I keep telling people there will be another Crusades. One way or another. The time is coming.
The real war.
There were nine Crusades. This is going to be the tenth, and the final one.
Iranian flight tests of their Shahab-3 medium-range missile
that can reach Israel and U.S. forces in the Persian Gulf have
in recent years involved several explosions at high altitude,
reportedly triggered by a self-destruct mechanism on the
missile. The Western press has described these flight tests as
failures because the missiles did not complete their ballistic
trajectories. Iran has officially described all of these same
tests as successful. The flight tests would be successful if
Iran were practicing the execution of an EMP attack.
Iran, as noted earlier, has also successfully tested firing
a missile from a vessel in the Caspian Sea. A nuclear missile
concealed in the hold of a freighter would give Iran, or
terrorists, the capability to perform an EMP attack against the
United States homeland without developing an ICBM, and with
some prospect of remaining anonymous. Iran's Shahab-3 medium-
range missile, mentioned earlier, is a mobile missile and small
enough to be transported in the hold of a freighter. We cannot
rule out that Iran, the world's leading sponsor of
international terrorism, might provide terrorists with the
means to execute an EMP attack against the United States.
In closing, a few observations about the potential EMP
threat from North Korea. North Korean academic writings
subscribe to the view voiced in Chinese, Russian, and Iranian
writings that computers and advanced communications have
inaugurated an information age during which the greatest
strength and greatest vulnerability of societies will be their
electronic infrastructures. According to North Korean press,
Chairman Kim Chong-Il is himself supposedly an avid proponent
of this view.
MARCH 8, 2005
Iran, estimated to be within 2 months of nuclear weapons by the administration, has a demonstrated capability to launch an EMP attack from a vessel at sea.
It's pretty awesome that our strategy oil reserve is empty and they kick off ww3 after biden states he won't reill because too expensive.
I predict terrorists attacked and Marshall law. Which will give them the excuse to never have elections again.
This will lead up to door to door weapons confiscation to protect us
They are tried of having to hide.
Yeah they effect us immensely via our pocketbook as we shovel money over there for more money laundering.Do you really think that the events in the middle east won't affect us here ?
Do you think the events in Ukraine haven't either ?

The war to end all wars.
And then the war after that.
Trying to ignore this stuff because you don't wamt to get involved is like trying to avoid politics because it's a cesspool.
You may not take an interest in the war, but that doesn't mean the war won't take an interest in you.
And it does share a lot with an cess pit.
Better to deal with any problems early, rather than wait till it's backing up in the basement.
