Is buying a Revolver that can use Moon Clips worth the cost ?

Well, after realizing I can rack a Tokarev easily, a Seecamp with difficulty, and a P-64 hardly at all (but that POS is f*cked up), I thought mebe things are not quite so bad as I thought.

So I opted for a S&W Bodyguard with Crimson Trace .380 (9mm are just not available).

$462 including Shipping to my local FFL.

I probably overpaid a little, but with Dementia Joe taking charge in ten days, I am frantic.

It will be my first modern, new Handgun. First plastic Handgun, too.

Pretty sure it will fit the bill - until the confiscations begin.

You should have gone with the EZ model. The price difference in cost is basically negligible and the future benefits to when you lack the motor skills to rack a normal slide are huge.

I'm certain you're right.

But the Bodyguard should retain its value, and I can always buy the EZ when I need to.

The EZ just seemed a bit large to Ankle-Carry.

I'm too old.

I'm having huge difficulties racking Slides anymore. That means I need a REVOLVER.

Actually I need Ammo, too. Which may be a bigger issue than buying the gun !!!

Anyhow, a good CC Revolver is likely to be a 5-shot - not enough IMHO.

I'm thinking, right or wrong, that most Revolvers that can utilize Moon Clips will be a premium of $200 over those that do not.

For a Pirate like you HELL YES! A revolver is light years a head of that musket your wielding in your avatar.

If you can find it, and depending on how you intend to use it, Ruger LCR in 9mm. It’s a snubbie though.

i never should have traded off my S&W 625. Another choice if you can find one.

I hate the LCR, but I won’t sell mine. Think about it—it’s a Glock 19 size, but it holds 5 rounds. You do the math.

If you have weak hands, stay away from the LCR. The recoil will be too much for you.

I will respectfully have to disagree on the size. I can easily pocket carry the LCR, not the G19.

As for the recoil, I haven't shot the 9mm LCR and I don't carry full house 357 loads for carry. I understand that the recoil maybe a bit much for some folks hands, but it should depend on what you are carrying.

The LCR in 327 Fed Mag is an interesting choice if you can find some of the many options of ammo it can be fed. I found the potent 327 to recoil like the relatively impotent 38 in the houge gripped lcr. It also carries an extra round in the cylinder for .327 Fed Mag.
