Is there a large cache of Chinese Mauser Broomhandles still in China ?

Ok, anyone that knows me, knows this is a fave subject of mind.

And it is, most likely, FAKE NEWS.

But, as the story goes, there remains in China a very large cache of C&R Mauser Broomhandle (copies, of course).

That cannot be imported due to some ATF regulations.

I'm not fond of Chinese firearms, myself, but for a couple of hundred bocks (just sayin'), I'd certainly make an exception.

Anyone else ever hear this Fairy Tale ?

China made a number of Broom handle C96's in .45 ACP. If this story was true, I'd want one! My .30 Mauser set me back about $100 thirty years ago from Century Arms.

I believe the reason the ATF hates them is because Regulations prohibit any Handgun that has a Magazine that is not contained within the Grips.

Revolvers are excluded because they cannot accept Magazines.

ATF is ok with forward magazines on pistols. New York state isn't. The removable magazine in front of the grip magically makes it an assault weapon.

It would be good if some of the import rules were scrapped. I was looking forward to an SVT-40, and the they were gone. I would bet Norinco is still cranking them out! There were a bunch of Germen ones over there too.
