Now mind you this is from about a year ago. I bought a stripped lower about 2 years ago to get one while the getting was good as Ive always wanted a modern sporting rifle in 5.56/.223 anyways then about a year ago I bought a Kit to finish my build...
It was a supposed to be a complete upper and lower parts kit.....now so finally im putting in together....I know I really took my time.
The build went fine but in finishing up I see the kit did not provide a gas block for the barrel nor a muzzle device......so I plan to get a gas block to finish and when I take to a gunsmith to buy and pin the muzzle device I will chose one then. But is that normal.
that they would not come with the gas block...im thinking it was forgotten when putting the parts together for the kit.....like I say Im not going back to the place as it was over a year ago I bought it but just wasnt sure....I went back and looked at kits for sale now and dont see the part pictured in the sales ad for the kit just not sure if this is / was normal. I see alot of kits now the upper comes completed....but my kit was apart for a build.
Just curious....things happen...im not pissed about it or i should checked it was all there when I first got it........just dissapointed I could not get it all together over the weekend when I sat down to do it.........
I think im gonna lke this thing...I also have to get the part that locks the magazine in too still. but for my first build went pretty smooth and was easier that I thought it may be.... I was a little anxious of how it would be to build. I waited till now as I figured it would sooth the itch when I wanted to buy another gun and I would have the kit to do vs trying to get another gun out of the Mrs......
