It's a push dagger/dirk, Designed and "adapted" to be used primarily as a weapon, so the answer is a NO. Having said that, it's important to understand that any officer can use their own discretion to make an interpretation for ANY knife while it may be perfectly legal under NYS law, and classify it as a "dangerous weapon". When it comes to knives in NYS, concealing them well enough should be good enough. Don't have it hanging on your keys or sticking half way out of your jeans when you walk around in public and you'll probably never have any issue to speak of. Don't forget that just like the safe act and other gun laws, these knife laws are 100% unconstitutional and illegal and they illegally infringe your right to bear arms. There is one caveat I will mention however, If you also carry a handgun in NYS, I would then consider something else not meeting those descriptions, because if you were ever searched for any reason lawfully by an officer and asked about your permit, things could go south if you otherwise had something like a typical fixed blade or pocket knife. Illegal knives are sold almost everywhere in NYS though locally, shipped, whatever. Don't take it too seriously unless you plan on getting searched by the police.
