You just remember that the "News" is profitable sensationalism: The more horrific, the more it pisses you off, the more of a tear jerker they can produce, the more YOU view it, the more Advertisers will pay to sponsor it (while they pitch you the latest Drug or other product they want you feel as thought you must have)...
