Been texting back and forth with my sister. My niece and her husband stayed there (they live there). She said my niece is thinking of getting a gun. I responded, "Thinking?" I said, "What will it take?" She said she lost her job as a tour guide, her husband lost his job just prior too and getting a firearm there is expensive. They said they would give her the money. My sister said she isn't sure being home is that much different and then linked the Post article about the potential for shit tomorrow. I told her I already knew about that.

Neither Russia, nor China stamped these people's visas. They come here legally by the thousands for decades. Much simpler for Palestinian to come here than for Israeli. It is consistent with U.S. policy of maintaining conflicts around the world.

My money is on Iran wanting to derail the Israeli-Saudi agreement.

Iran runs Hamas like they were a branch of their own military. The only way it's done to benefit Russia is if Russia paid Iran off to do it.

I think you misread that.

War torn and politically unstable countries shouldn't be a tourist destination. It should be so expensive for help getting out that people take their chances staying.

Some people have a legitimate reason to be in these places (family, business, etc.), and we should get them out fast, no questions asked.

With friends like that, who needs enemies. It won't take long before Washington will tell Israel to stand down or else. Few days of sympathy and then blocking military response. This is how it goes time after time.
