I would not be suprised if both a missle strike and some local demolition was involved. The convenience of the adjacent (and inactive) Canadian Embassy (which is still Canadian property and afforded protections by the host country) provides a potentially valuable tool for both staging ops or intelligence gathering.

Yeah but the tactical results of the strike also lend obvious credence to counter claims of both retaliatory and preventive self defense against Iran's involvement with terrorist attacks targeting innocent Israeli citizens.
We'll see if this "broadens" the war any further. I have no doubt the iranians were taking advantage of their embassy in syria to direct aid and intelligence to hamas and hezbollah. The Israelis saw an opportunity and took it. The israelis are fighting for their existence so they are unlikely to give two shits about world opinion.

I dont think the Iranians are going to do it that way.If they hit Israel hard enough with a missile strike ,The Isrealis may use nukes . And They may have to deal with the US military . That seems like a losing proposition to me. If they strike Israel its going to mean war with the US and Isreal.
they are going to have to find a round about way of Hurting Israel .
One possible way is to provide Hamas and Palestinians if they still can, with advanced weapons like drones, and manpads. maybe trained mercenaries , this allows them to fuck Israel without a war breaking out .

I doubt they have the technical ability to do so. If they strike it will be something cowardly like the attack on an Israeli embassy in a different part of the world (like they did before). More likely they use Hezbollah or some other group.

Isreal won't use nukes unless they either get nuked first, or are in real existential danger.
Even a massive missile strike wouldn't do it.
It *would* engender Isreal (and hopefully us too) unleashing holy hell on Iran with conventional weapons though.
