All joking aside, this is some serious shit. In my opinion, it's on equal footing with 2A. Curbing free speech is curbing the most fundamental aspect of being American. There is nothing more basic than being able to express your opinion, free of government interference.

It's no big secret that New York and California are in a competition to see who can butt-fuck the Constitution the hardest.
Being aware of potential Laws that further erode our Constitutional Rights is not being gullible, nor is it being deflected from fighting the Laws that were passed in New York. It is called being aware, and being prepared.

I guarantee that if some shlep in Cali can think of something to violate the 1st Amendment our Tyrant and his cronies are also thinking about it. It is easier to fight it when it is still just a Bill. Once it becomes Law it is harder by several orders of magnitude to remove it.
