Got one in stainless and synthetic. Would like to swap in a different stock at point, the one I got was on sale cheap but the camo is a weird like light desert/winter pattern.

A week or so ago my wife and I played with a friend's 10/22 fairly modified Competition model and had fun trying to push the 22 out farther than usual but neither my wife or I found the stock fit us right. This thread and our recent range day prompted me to go to the Ruger site, which I had not visited in some time. The Ruger 10/22 web pages immediately reminded me it takes a trip to enjoy the assortment of 10/22 varieties that garner Pistol Grips, Forward Grips, Threaded Barrel accessories, or Muzzle Devices, let alone Adjustable Stocks for family versatility. Thank god we gave been saved from those pesky little .22 rimfire weapons of war in NY.

I'm jealous! I couldn't find a 10/22 mag so I got a Remington 597 in 22 mag ( which they stopped making also )

Although $210 is a good price, it makes me wonder if I may be older than I think I am. My first 10/22 was had for under $50 (list was like $55).

I’ve got two myself. Soon to have three. I am looking for a takedown with the magpul backpacker stock right now.
I have the takedown version with synthetic stock.
How does the 22mag shoot? How is it's accuracy out to 100 yards or more? I may or may not have a S&W 351PD revolver in 22mag that needs a partner.

Yea, I wanted 1 when I was living up there, but that asshole cumho (ya' know, FREDO's older, and believe it or not, dumber brother!!) decided that we weren't responsible enough to own those in NY!! SOOOOOOO when I retired we GTFO of NYS!! Now I can (and DO!!) have pretty much what ever I want. No jerkoff stupid loops to jump through, no asinine restrictions, no permit to own a handgun, AND NO restrictions on selling or transferring my personally owned items (not to restricted morons of course!!).
YEA, and he still believes it's the weather!!
Did I mention I don't miss living in that gulag??!!

Both.... I know it's not going to be any time soon. I will always want to unless, by some miracle, this nightmare we live in ends. Every time I'm reminded of the freedoms other states still enjoy, I feel a sense of urgency to vacate AGAIN.
I know it's not currently feasible so I try to make the best of things.
