I dont get why? How did Ivan get in the sights of this so called reporter? The only thing I can think is he started with a list of the all the big players and his limited investigation skills led him to Ivan first. I am a little confused why they believe he is in Illinois, top notch reporting I suppose.

It's being reported that Ivan's info was provided by Cody Wilson (defense distributed), who by all accounts seems to be a scum bag for reasons beyond getting caught paying a 16 year old to screw him.

Seems like there's a whole little drama in the 3d printed gun community.

That very well could be. Wilson is a scumbag on so many different levels but most prominently is defcad, its data collection and selling others work for profit without compensation. Most of the designers have a vocal hatred for him.
It is however super simple to find names in seconds without him. Its well known that Ivan and Matt Larosiere are tight. Corporate records show they own MAF and give addresses and as a bonus also divulge CtrlPew who's identity is not secret but not well known either.
Ivan has always made it a point not to show his face or use his name, I wonder since the gig is up he will change that outlook?

I haven't followed all the drama, but a few of the 3d printing accounts I follow have been going nuts over this. All the evidence I've seen posted points to Wilson.
