What I don't understand is why Trump has not come out and unequivocally, in no uncertain words at all, said he denounces cat torturers'. I've never heard him denounce them. Not once!

Nor has he ever denounced those who fap to bea arthur. No journalist has had the balls to ask him about this. He obviously has to go.

I actually wonder how to verbalize this without pissing people off. It's impossible, but it's ultimately true. These people need votes to win, so either one would be happy to take what they can.
I would tell the interviewer/voters, that while I find certain actions and ideals of some people/groups disgusting, I would still want them to vote for me.
I would continue by telling them, if elected, I have a better chance of being able to correct the mindset of these groups and people's bad ideas.

You know if you think about it what tapper's question really is saying is he doesn't believe these people should be allowed vote. If both candidates say they don't want their vote, who could these people give them to? It's a silly political question that works well--like asking biden why he doesn't denounce bestiality, or exclaiming that you've "no reason to think Person X is a pedophile". Just mentioning it makes the connection.
I think this is one of the worst parts of our election/voting issues.
Everything is spun. I am so sick and tired of people cleaning up their words all of the time to satisfy the people.
Go through life with this in mind: "Say what you mean and mean what you say". If some of the people don't like it, fuck em. Seriously, I want leaders that are willing to say the tough talk. Win or lose, I cannot wait to run for an elected position.

Our society is enslaved to the power (or stupidity) of language.
I think the best example I can think of is this:
"Colored Person" = racist
"Person of Color" = not racist
Language can convey thoughts that influence opinion, but just the language itself can do the same thing.
