I haven't been watching the dog & pony show.
Is it true that Trump "lunged" at the head of security, tried to grab a steering wheel, was on an uncontrolled rant, and that 5 security officers died and hundreds more were injured by the violent mob?

I can't seem to find the videos that show all of that.

Yes, I have family that firmly believe Trump told the protesters to go to the capital and overthrow the government.
They ignore the fact that no one brought a gun.

I have seen articles from the same source claiming that Trump tried to hijack the SUV to go to the capitol when the secret service said no, *and* that he didn't do anything to try to stop the riot.

It's like "pick one, they can't both be true".

We’ve seen these tactics before.

The Maoists used show trials and struggle sessions to punish anyone suspected of wrong-think. These unfaithful enemies of the regime were brought forward and publicly humiliated before they received their punishment. The entire community was forced to watch this process. This was
a warning of what they will face if they dare speak out against the regime.

The gist? The government is using evidence from members of the committee, but members of the committee have invoked the speech and debate clause to quash the defendants ability to call them as witnesses. The judge granted that motion to quash. So, basically the members of the committee will be testifying against Bannon, without Bannon having the ability to cross examine them. More interestingly? They made themselves a party to the case when they filed an amicus brief in support of the charges.

According to J6 defendant, Micajah Jackson, Luke Robinson was also wearing an earpiece at the Jan. 6 protests.

And Luke Robinson is the second January 6er, along with Ray Epps, who was dropped from the FBI most-wanted list. They are two of the three protesters who had their photos and number removed from the list.

In January Micajah confronted Luke Phillip Robinson aka. “Ginger Gun” in Arizona. Robinson was at the Jan 6 protests. He had a firearm and was wearing an earpiece. The FBI later removed him from their most-wanted list.

“Can now announce that I’m working with the [Jan. 6 Committee] on their upcoming hearings,” Przygoda tweeted in an announcement on June 20.
The committee’s employment of television news producers to dramatize its proceedings showcases how the partisan probe has approached its work of persecuting political opponents in a public forum absent a legitimate defense. The panel’s series of summer hearings possesses all the hallmarks of the Soviet-era show trials in the 1930s where regime dissidents were dragged before the public courts and declared guilty without fair representation.

In March, Democrats on the committee conceded the panel’s work was all about smearing the political opposition ahead of the November midterms.
