The gloves should have been taken off. The commie demonrat wasn’t wearing any with his blatantly un fact checked lies. If he is going to use his military lies in his campaign then he should be called out on it.

It doesn't bother me much. I can understand the reasons he may not have wanted to do that and I think it was the smart play.

It would by contrast call attention to his own service record and JD seems to me fairly modest about his service. Not that he has anything to be ashamed of, but it's not like he was a front-line grunt. And you know Walz was ready to hit back with something like that, so why get into a pissing match? It could have come off as petty and indirect virtue signaling.

You never know how the other guy (or moderators) might counter ...so, it's kind of like don't ask a question you don't already know the answer to.

Besides, he's got his supporters to do that...leave some of the lifting to us. There are times I wish Trump would do that.

Vance handled that debate like a boss.

Cool, calm, in charge, coherent, focused, intelligent, articulate.

He came off as being very likeable and relatable and not arrogant or smug. He utterly wrecked walz but not in a condescending way that will turn off the soccer moms and weakling undecideds.

He handled every moderator "got ya" attempt. He navigated the 3vs1 format flawlessly.

Literally wiped the floor with walz and the moderators.

I really wish Trump could stay as focused as Vance was able to be. He would have crushed harris if he did.

This will be Trumps last go of it and Vance can easily be the future face of the party.

Maybe even more important than what candidates have to say during these debates, is how well they conduct themselves.

Half of what they say is talking points, empty promises and spin. Even honest well-meaning statements are subject to change.

You have to imagine how their persona and mannerisms will play out on the world stage.

If you can't even get through a debate without looking like a nervous gaffe-prone goofball, you have no business going toe-to-toe with world leaders as our nation's representative. To do so is irresponsible and to not recognize it shows a lack of self-awareness or selfish disregard.

As an American I am embarrassed that a cackling yenta and folksy fudd are among our choices.

Was nice to see a debate that focused more on policy.

Throughout the whole thing, I couldn't help but think "these two guys should be the ones at the top of their respective tickets."

A spokesperson for the National Association of School Shooters clarified that "we didn't really know him all that well" and "our moms just made us hang out with him and invite him to our birthday parties sometimes."

"Yeah, we weren't, like, friends or anything," said Vance Walberry, who attempted a school shooting in Minnesota in 1982 but was tackled by the high school quarterback. "He was kinda strange. Kept lurking around the boys' bathroom asking if anyone needed a tampon." Walberry shook his head. "We don't want anything to do with a freak like that."
