Other than the fact that the Ares SCR seems to be impossible to get? :) (I already own one but the fact that FightLite can't seem to say when they will be producing more is not exactly confidence inspiring.)

He says in his interview he "machines" 80% of his parts. So he takes an existing receiver, frame, or small part and grinds/cuts/etches some fashionable macho bricabrac. Scrolls on a trigger guard! He's basically a graphic designer with shop skills. He designed a weird muzzle device, otherwise their is nothing "better" about his firearms other than he uses top quality parts from respected manufacturers and styles them. For a 300% mark up because of his reality TV show and that he cuckholded America's sweetheart Sandra Bullock by hooking up with a porn star.

Good recipes on his social media though!

Marketing 101. It's just like the older generation going all gah-gah over a $100K Italian shotgun with miles of scrollwork that doesn't shoot any differently than a $5K plain good Italian shotgun.

If his guns were somehow better then competition shooters would be shooting them. They just pretty.

i wasn't implying that he didn't know what he is doing. i'm just watching people defend everything that he does as if he is the holy trinity all rolled into one (eugene stoner, john browning, and hiram maxim) his suppressors probably work well but he claimed that they quiet the report at the muzzle to like 75 db or some ridiculously low number, while also adding 200 fps of muzzle velocity, which sounds awesome until you find out that the noise of an AR-15 bot going into battery is about 95db, and then you realize that his new design is based off of tuned pipes for 2-stroke bikes and built as a 2 piece bolt together aluminum clamshell with stainless k baffles (aluminum tube with stainless baffles is more of a basic .22lr suppressor design).

it's a lot of big claims and he has never released any of the aero-sonic LSFS for 3rd party T&E. people need to realize when they are stepping in bullshit.

That being said, he is an insanely skilled machinist, welder, fabricator, and designer. his guns do look cool as hell, its awesome that each rifle is hand built, hand lapped for a perfect fit, and i would love to own one. but everyone is acting like he is re-inventing the wheel. he is just doing what he does best, making really cool custom shit and running his business. he is a great innovator and was definitely one of my idols when i was growing up.

people aren't spending 3000-5000 on his guns because they are worth the cost, they are spending that because it has his name on it, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. these are pieces of art.

They are art. You will not see any AR style platforms like Jesse James Firearms. Some people spend $3000 on an H&K 416. Jesse guns are way nicer an unique in my opinion

no, they pay 3000 for an mr556. i would give a kidney up for a select fire 416.

that's an apples to oranges comparison though. the 416 is not designed as a hand crafted art piece, it is designed to work (function over form). while anything from JJFU is form over function, not to say they won't work at all, but run them hard and dirty in adverse conditions and they probably wouldn't fare nearly as well as the 416.

Lets face it people who buy ARs for $3000+ are collectors who go to the range an back home. Not doing serious training. If i had the money i would get one of his guns instead of an h&k or DD rifles.
