Isn't it convenient how the media neglects to mention this? Unless authorized by the POTUS to conduct such negotitiations he is making a fool of himself and possibly going to suffer for his illegal act. And if he hasn't been authorized, he should be charged accordingly! Spare no fool the full weight of the law, he not ignorant to what he's doing!

Doesn't matter, The Iranians put it this way , If you sold your home and it was torn down and skyscraper was built there you cannot come back to get your property back. the deal was made, you agreed to it, it was legal, and now you have to live with it.
The Iranians are not going to re-negotiate the deal for lesser terms now. And trump is pulling out no matter what, All Kerry can tell the Iranians is to hold on until trump is out.

It seems like the Attorney General of the United States position is vacant.
Well except when it comes to marijuana, then he gets active.
Maybe if Sessions was told that Kerry has some weed on him there would be some action.

But seriously, many Democrats are up to their eyeballs with easily proven criminal action.
Aaaand he does nothing. It's infuriating to me that President Donald Trump is the one being
investigated for over a year and a half now... But when it comes to the Democrats it's crickets.

Legal scholar Alan Dershowitz says Kerry is in clear violation of the Logan Act.

The Logan Act states:

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
The Boston Herald has called for a full investigation into Kerry’s actions

If special counsel Bob Mueller is truly interested in investigating people who are colluding with nefarious foreign powers to undermine U.S. interests, John Kerry should be Target No. 1 for secretly meeting with Iran’s foreign minister, Javad Zarif, and other foreign officials in recent weeks to usurp U.S foreign policy.

It’s a role that as a private citizen, Kerry has no mandate or authority to pursue.

President Trump attacked Kerry’s actions on Twitter, saying Monday. “The United States does not need John Kerry’s possibly illegal Shadow Diplomacy on the very badly negotiated Iran Deal. He was the one that created this MESS in the first place!”
