ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHAM) - Rochester City Court Judge Leticia Astacio hasn't shown up to work in more than 200 days, but still received a pay raise, increasing her compensation to $187,200 on April 1.

"Do you know how many judges got a raise," Astacio said in a Facebook Live video. " It's not like I went and petitioned for a raise. No... all the judges got raises."
Employees at the Hall of Justice confirmed that Astacio hasn't shown up for work since August 31.

The fact that she is still employed and receiving a paycheck is amazing. This is what is wrong with everything. In the private sector after 2 days of not showing up for work with no call to the boss I would be immediately terminated.

Because the committee needed to do so doesn't have the funds (apparently), and the real answer is that if she gets impeached/removed, it opens up a whole 'nother ball of wax regarding the "good ole boys club" within the judge ranks.

Apparently this was the last of a 4-part series of raises, so she technically had nothing to do it. That being said, she shouldn't have received it because she shouldn't have a job anymore.

Happens to everyone else all the time, so why does she get to keep hers, because there's something else going on w/ those judges. If they remove her, she'll raise hell about double standards and cover up this and that. We could have just forgotten about her if she had not kept being a scumbag this whole time, laid low, and stayed out of the news. No, she can't fucking help herself, and she's only making everything related to this worse. She's a piece of shit for working the system the way she is, and then calling us racists for wanting her head.

Bingo! The local piece of kotex also known as the democrat & chronicle made sure to inform its readers that other white male judges in the past had drinking problems in every article they wrote about her. The meaning was clear - if this judge were to be impeached it would be racist and sexist. So the powers that be talk about how hard it is to remove a judge knowing full well the moment they do she will sue them for racial and sexual discrimination. This sad excuse of a human being knows this as well and continually violates her probation almost daring the authorities to do something. Since she was elected to a 10 year term this party will go on for another 7 years. The only way she leaves is if she dies of alcohol poisoning.
