Just a FYI for you guys, I have only seen a few come through my door (NY Compliant models) since February. They are hard to find.

Well, I managed to pickup the 19116 model yesterday. For anyone wondering your best way to source one, search facebook every few hours for "ruger carbine" or "pc carbine" and then hit posts on the top, then date on the bottom left, set it to Aug 2020. Scroll thru and you'll eventually (hopefully) find stores posting up new stock. That's how I managed to do it.
It also seems like stores have been getting one or two of the American flag models in stock, of which there is an NY compliant model.
Good luck!
Thanks! Now, we await the pistol permit, hah.
there is a used one on Armslist for $550 in Binghamton, NY if someone is looking for one.

I'm not seeing it listed.
My apologies. I saw it yesterday gone today,
i gotta thank you for this tip! I am about to start my second AR build and learned from my mistake the first time around in waiting too long to source a lower. I did just what you said, and I have the exact lower I was looking for on it’s way to me. Thanks again!Well, I managed to pickup the 19116 model yesterday. ruger pcc have no pistol grip.I was at Runnings today ( 14 Sept) and overheard the counter guy talking to another customer that was looking for a PCC.
He told them that Gander Outdoors was ordering "Free State" versions and pinning the threaded muzzle protector and swapping the pistol grip for spurs to make them NY compliant. Retail pricing was said to be around $600. I did not have the time to stop by Gander today to verify. Will try tomorrow night.

Why anyone would choose a spur gripped PCC over the original is beyond me.

If you have plans to move to another state, there are much better options than a Ruger PCC.I suppose if you have plans to move in the near future.
Better to wait than buy something you cannot hold. The whole point on why a Ruger PCC is attractive is because it’s legal in its normal configuration and you do not have to have a gimped rifle that you cannot really hold correctly.Because the original is not available.

Even then why would you do a claw..
Hell there are better chassis to toss the standard PCC in if you want a pistol grip later..
Example here is the Midwest Industry chassis

Or there is the Copper Customs Chassis

Or why not just wait for the move and get a threaded version?
I see your point 100%. I was just trying to come up with some sort of logic...beyond simple impatience.

Both of those chassis look like they would work with a Thordsen stock.Even then why would you do a claw..
