Rule #1 I always abide by is never touch a cop especially when they're on the job. I personally do not like my space invaded, nor do I like being touched by someone I don't know.
The fact that the guy was 75 is irrelevant. No one knew he was 75 until after the incident. It's been a shit show out there all week, if you were in Niagara Square yesterday, you had 7 days advanced warning that things were already raw out there. It's like people who take their kids to protest that are emotionally charged, things go south and they cry about getting tear gassed.
I'm not saying don't protest, you have to know your limits and understand the behavior of the morons around you. Situational awareness no matter which side you're on.

I've been watching the traffic cams on I-190 for the last hour or so. Traffic has been light outside of the multi-vehicle MVA by Elm Street earlier.

It's getting to the point where the cops should just give them what they want. They made a movie about it called "the purge". These protesters would not fair well.

Hertel ave was jumping, Some of bars now open all the patios full, people laughing drinking , walking , enjoying the day. no masks , no social distancing. Deleware park was busy , lots of people enjoying the day. Saw two buffalo police cars two sherriff dept cars and one state trooper car on Hertel. Normally no sherriff or staties.
