That video is pretty brutal, and again uncalled for. One guy could have stepped out of formation, grabbed the poor old bastard by the arm and escorted him away. Am I going to start rioting over this? No. They were clearing the area, he should not have been there after being told multiple times.
I don't like the way this was handled, and I don't like the way George Floyd was handled, but Mr Floyd is a career criminal, and also put himself in that position.

if the old guy had a real issue he could have stood where here was and waved his hand to get there attention to come to him ..
They were in violation of curfew signed by the mayor. The intent was clearly to disperse the violator not to crack his skull open. Come back to earth.

It's a really bad look to have police pushing an elderly person over (fortunately he's white)
when by that very short video clip he looks peaceful, while at a protest about police brutality.Ughhh

There is a word for people that think the police can do no wrong. I won’t say it but that’s what you are.
As someone said above, “Know your threat.” This old man wasn’t a threat to anyone. Also said was that one guy could have stepped aside and grabbed this geezer by the arm. Would you be okay if it was an old woman? A child? A handicapped person? Would you do the same?
I’m guessing you wouldn’t. You’d be singing a different tune if I did it to the same old man if I was in a crowd. But because it’s the police... See first paragraph. Maybe they will let you clean the bathrooms in the station house.
Again, there was zero intent to bust the guys skull open. If he had left as he was lawfully ordered to multiple times, he would have avoided the possibility of putting himself in such a situation. The police aren't just going to sit with and coddle every person who feels they should not have to comply with a lawful order. The outcome was not what anyone would want, but it could have been avoided with obeying a lawful order. Sad!
I'm nearly always pro police, I just think these last couple 8nstances could have used a little more common sense instead of just following orders.

Look. The officer didn’t mean to do it. Nobody will ever say that he did it on purpose. He fucked up. But at the same time even in a legitimate arrest in any other situation like perhaps a shoplifting arrest, force used is dependent on the person. An officer is not going to use the same level of force if you yourself are resisting as he would with your grandfather or grandmother. You he would pick up and slam to the ground, straddle, and cuff. The same would not occur to a frail old man, an 8 year old child, ect. There would be no forceful slam to the concrete.

Yep. He really didn’t mean to do it and he knew that he screwed up and regretted it. The look said it all. I actually feel bad for the dude because it wasn’t his intention for that to happen but at the same time, he would not hesitate to lock me up if I did the same exact thing if I was a protester about guns for example and the same old man got into my face and ended up getting his skull cracked.
Look, I have no problem with you offering to watch over the guy's house. His name's been published which is a huge risk for him and his family especially at a time like this. All over what definitely seems unintentional, but that video especially makes things look worse with the police marching over him showing no concern. Sadly this whole thing could have, and should have been prevented.
