Just held an LCRx

I just held a .38+P LCRx with the 1.87" barrel. I actually really liked it and was surprised of the feel. I really liked the exposed hammer. The trigger was great. I also felt an SP101 and the trigger was horrible. I want to love the SP101, I have wanted a 3" for a long time but the triggers that I have felt are bad.

The LCRx also had the copper cylinder which I think looked 100 times better in person. I almost bought it but just couldn't pull the trigger on spending the money.

I am torn between an SP101,LCRx, a full size 9mm and a 9mm Ar for my next purchase.

Just wondering if anyone owns the LCR or LCRx and can provide some feedback. I would like it to compliment my GP100 and XDS 4.0.

I have an LCR, great trigger as you say!
I have the 22LR which has the worst of the triggers in the line.
I think my next investment is the 9mm
Kind of wish the 9mm had a LCRx variant

Ya there was a 4.2" 22LR SP101 there and I could honestly barely pull the trigger, I also have small hands tho. The trigger on my GP is great and have no problem with that trigger.

I am torn between the 9mm and .38+p or .357 mag LCRx. It is unfortunate that the 9mm isn't offered as the "x" hopefully it will be soon.

My wife has the LCR in .38 +P. She loves the feel and the weight. She has not fired it yet but still loves it. She is now considering selling it to buy a Kimber K6. Not sure what she is going to do because the Kimber is $849. Tough to justify.

I want the lcrx in 357. You have a good list of potential next perchases, only you can decide. I want the lcrx as a BUG. Mostly for winter carry in a jacket pocket. With warm weather coming i would prioririze another option... thats just me.

I recently picked up an LCR in .357. Took it to the range two days ago and was ringing 8" steel gongs with it at 30 yards. For the seven years I've had my permit, I've only owned Glocks. I never thought I'd fall in love with a wheel gun the way I love my LCR.

Agree it's expensive but if she carries it it's worth every penny. Finding a carry gun that she will actually carry, if she's like my wife, is a challenge.

That is one reason I want the LCRx it would be very easy to put in my jacket pocket. It would be a BUG for me also and a just gun I would like to own. My wife liked it also. It would also be a easy gun to put in my pocket around the house instead of wearing IWB.

What ammo were u running through it?

I have just had this thing for revolvers lately. I know I need a higher capacity 9mm but there is just something about the wheel gun that I keep prioritizing over it. I just got the GP100 4" in September too. I'll end up with them all.......eventually lol. Will probably try to find a used one some time when I get the money together.

Winchester 150gr .38spl and Agula 158gr .357
I also have a Blackhawk and a GP100 Match in .357, as well as a Rossi 92. Try as I might, I couldn't even miss the gongs with the Blackhawk and the GP100. They're all fun to shoot. The LCR not so much with .357.

Now I'm looking for a good carry load for the LCR.

I think the little gun is something I need to get my hands on first to try out.

I would look at the:

38 Special +P - 158 gr LSWCHP - Federal Law Enforcement
Speer LE Gold Dot Short Barrel 38 Spc +P 135gr 50 rds 53921

For longer barrels I like the XTP and for 9mm I use Federal HSTs.

My 9mm load is currently Federal HST 147gr +P. I switched to that because I didn't want to run Winchester Ranger 127gr +P+ out of my Glock 43.

I'll have to see what they have on the shelves for .38 or .357 at the LGS.

Keep in mind the cost of shooting it 9 mm is about half the price of 38Spec!

About 90% of the ammo I shoot are reloads so this doesn't really apply to me. But ya factory .38 can get expensive.
