Just ordered a Clinger "No Print Wonder"....

...For my Glock 23. I currently have a Blade Tech, which I like, but I wanted to try the No Print to see how well it tucks and hides the grip. Plus it has a sweat guard which the Blade Tech doesn't. Anyway, their lead time has usually been 2 weeks and I've been on the fence about dropping the money on it for a while. Well, I checked last night and the lead time was 2-3 days, so I jumped. Anyone have experience with this or any other Clinger holsters?

Looks interesting, but how secure is it? Since it doesn't "wrap around" the trigger guard it seems like it would be fairly flimsy and not sturdy. I had a similar holster where that was the weak link. It was also thinner Kydex; according to this site's FAQ they use thicker (0.8") Kydex so maybe wouldn't be an issue.

I just emailed their CS about it. Seems they now have a new version of the no print selling for the price I just paid for the old version. I asked if there was any possibility of either getting a refund for the difference or being upgraded to the new version. we'll see what they say.

So I heard back from Clinger, they refunded me the difference of the sale no problem. They mentioned they couldn't do the upgrade to the new V2 holster only because they don't make it lefthanded yet. Also got an update that my holster is in production now and will ship within 7 days! Pretty excited.

The only experience I have with their product is an old Comfort Holster my father included when he gave me his Kahr mk9. I guess Comfort Holsters used to be their company name. I don't know what happened. The holster is well built and comfortable, my only gripe is that there is a good gap in the trigger guard area that seems like it could allow for something to get in and contact the trigger (or I'm just afraid something could). The way its designed is the sides of the trigger guard are covered fine, its just that the bottom of the trigger guard isn't covered by the holster and so there are gaps on either side. No way to tighten it though I suppose I could heat the kydex up and bend it in closer. Anyway, I'm hoping they have fixed that. I'll post pictures if that'll help.

I use a Tuck holster like that for my Ruger SR40C, which is dimensionally similar to the Glock 23, albeit 0.25 to 0.5 inches smaller that the Glock. I have found it to be great for concealment, but difficult to adjust once you tighten your belt.

So the holster arrived today. It was shipped in a nice cardboard box, the only down side was that it shipped in the product box, so it said “Clinger Holster” all over it. No big deal in Arkansas I'm sure, but up here in the prison state that sort of exposure makes me nervous. What if it was placed at my neighbor's door step or mailbox by accident (it's happened)? But anyway, that's another matter.

To those interested ( @togmaster @Dr. Evil @MikeyCNY @kgun12 ), the holster is very good quality and fits my Glock perfectly. I did have to tighten the retention screws some, but that's what they are there for. Clinger also DID fix the issue I mentioned in an earlier post about gaps between the kydex and gun in the trigger guard area. The trigger guard is covered completely and the kydex snugs right up to the gun leaving zero gaps for any foreign object to reach in and touch one off without your permission.

I am still playing around with how best it fits on me. So far I am finding the best placement for me is to have the holster sit as low as it can IWB right on my hip if not slightly behind it. Here it seems to take most advantage of the “No Print” features (meaning the grip doesn't protrude when bending over, squatting or twisting or reaching). The only draw back with this placement is that the wing that pulls the grip in closer to your body ends up causing the butt of the slide to protrude more outward at the side. So from the right angle one hip looks slightly off. I did find that the mouth of the holster was wider than the Blade -Tech also, so that also plays into it protruding out.. Drawing and re-holstering seemed good and normal to the extent that I have experience drawing and re-holstering (which admittedly, isn't much) but nothing felt wrong or cumbersome while doing some practice in front of the mirror.
