How much does it cost to fight a legal case to the SCOTUS ??

I think any of the judges on Trumps list will be fine. Kennedy was ok on gun cases, but wishy-washy. Other judges not sure so didn't vote to take gun cases. When next judge is appointed, there will be much less uncertainty. This is important for our four Long Island gun cases. We will have much better chances if any of them go to the Court of Appeal. 2nd Circuit is anti gun, but the Supreme Court cases are clearly in our favor. 2nd may feel pressured to follow the Supreme Court cases, as Supreme Court will be less likely to give them a pass on a clearly wrong decision.

I have three questions and I want real, honest straight answers.


1. Do you FULLY believe in the words that are written, the thoughts behind our Founding Fathers in regards to the Second Amendment?
yes

2. What is you FULL stance on abortion, Personal views, Professional views and the view in regards to the Constitution?
where is abortion in the Constitution ... it should be no funding (even under obumercare ) .. up to your and your maker and Dr.

3. Completely and fully explain what you think the roll of the Federal Government is? I would like a COMPLETE answer, not the short version. I want to know how you feel about the over regulation that is placed upon the American People, I want to know how you feel about taxes and the way they are forced down upon the people and I want to know exactly how you feel about how the Federal Government is going about the war of Illegal Immigration. Again, I want to know Personal views, Professional views and the view in regards to the Constitution?

The Founding Fathers wanted a small GOVT .. nuff said .. we have a super bloated monster that couldn't balance any check book handed to them
it was never supposed to be a full time career job ..

None of the judges rule imparitally as per the Constitution like they are supposed to and instead rule on party allegiances and politics.

What do you expect when one of the conditions on their nomination is passing a litmus test regarding abortion, religion, gun rights, pro- or con- coporatism, environmentalism, etc., ad nauseum.

Not once have I heard of one having to pass a litmus test regarding knowledge of and support/defense of the Constitution.

Scalia was conservative. He was replaced with at least a moderate conservative.

Kennedy is a moderate conservative. He'll likely be replaced with at least a moderate conservative.

It seems SCOTUS will remain mostly status quo. What is happening so far is securing long term moderate conservatives on the bench.

We NEED RBG to vacate her seat, asap. That is the one hope for swinging long term representation.

If we could replace rbg and breyer, with younger Constitutional Conservatives, we would have a 7-2 court to kick ass!

No need to speculate as we are powerless at this point to effectuate any change. We did our Jon when we cast our vote in the Presidential election. We can only do the same come elections again, and again!

What the court nominee likes to eat, or where they worship, what books they read... Meaningless! And quite frankly, their political association as well. The SCOTUS single purpose is to protect the Constitution from the other two branches of Gov't! They haven't been doing a good job, tip toeing around hot button issues (always it seems)...

So just relax, sit back, and enjoy the show, because the great showman, Trump, is about to give us one for sure!

Since the NYSRPA dropped their appeal to the Supreme Court following Scalia's death, where does that leave us? Can they still appeal or does a new suit have to work its way up again?

Really like what Mark Levine said yesterday. He doesn't refer to it as wanting a conservative justice. The opposite of conservative is liberal. He wants a justice who is a constitutionalist. When you don't want that you are basically saying you don't want the constitution, which is really the Democrat/Liberal position.

I’m not 100% on this but I believe since they pulled back they can re-petition or whatever it’s called. The million dollar question is will they?

The thing that nobody likes to talk about is that NYSRPA's case was weak - the lib equivalent of "we've got to do something." A lawsuit filed by lobbyists isn't the strongest position to fight from.

I'd love to see SAF's legal team take a shot at it - they're sharp. But for what ever reason, they haven't. Maybe that will change with a new court makeup.

I thought they had the top 2A lawyers on their team. If you are right, then perhaps them pulling their suit was a blessing. Either way, I am straight up TIRED of my rights being a money making venue for greedy, ambivalent people.
