Really neat product. I wonder, though, if it makes the already dirty gas system even dirtier. I'd actually really like this for precision shooting training with my ARs. It would make brass retention a lot easier than strapping a bulky and obnoxious brass-catcher on the side. Just another thing to add to the damn list.

We have one set up for testing right now. Pretty interesting concept. I was actually thinking of the same, getting one here for a precision build. Pretty excited to try them out more. Less invasive way for compliance as well.

Looks like from the bolt design it will simply deflect the gas downwards over the bolt carrier group instead of backwards to charge it. Won't make it cleaner or dirtier IMHO.

This is a very interesting concept for my heavier target AR's that I only target shoot from a bench where quick follow up shots are not needed. It would be great to have this so I can remove the neutered stocks and return them to full featured.

In theory it should be easier to clean as you will not have to scrape carbon deposit from the interior of the bolt carrier and the tail of the bolt.

I may consider switching to an AR given ammo for the AKs is harder to find now, and there are just SO many rock solid solutions for making the AR compliant at this point.

Absolutely right, decent solution and new possibilities that a modular rifle more easily accommodates. Laws written by people who don't understand guns (or what ever subject) or innovation/human ingenuity and think in a static way are always surprised by the work arounds and unintended consequences (you can still get/have an AR with the features). They always think "this law will fix them" and will work exactly as we desire to control a certain behavior but it never fully works as intended.
