I don’t see why it would be legal in nys. I like that it’s easy to switch back to a regular gun, but I don’t like how it functions honestly. Probably not for me.

The idea of swapping it out for the normal BCG in a timely fashion is a good idea depending on how much it costs. The major disadvantage this thing has like other similar bolt action AR setups I've seen over the years, is that you cannot maintain a sight picture while racking the charging handle back. This makes it horrible for a serious bolt gun. I tend to agree with his general thought process though. Sometimes something really is better than nothing or giving up.

so you can't keep a sight picture on a real bolt gun reloading the next round for the follow up thinking its a semi ghost gun .. ???

see my pic .. 2 shots on a bolt gun .. mosin .. 4 inch hole on the shot side .. iron sights .. 2nd shot was on the run .. first shot i thought i missed WTF .. nope
first shot was straight thru lung to lung .. then he ran like nothing hit him .. racked the bolt and then leveled the mosin .. following back in the sights pow ... 2nd shot was 2 inches from the first in the ribs and out the right shoulder .. all in like 5 seconds .. or less .. i had buck fervor to time stood still ..

now if i just make the mosin semi auto .. to make it a really serious bolt gun
