If the economics of it makes sense I’d be fine with paying for a new stadium. Just like if welfare actually helped people get on their feet and then they made more money and paid what they took back and then some I’d be fine with it. They don’t pan out. The Buffalo news liberal shill of a newspaper even said this. Polencarz said it but is then fine with spending the money?? I do t get it.
If this program brought in more in taxes and revenue than we were spending on it fine I’d accept it but it won’t. Movies will still be made in NYS and especially NYC. How many movies have been made in NYC?
Not to mention I thought corporate welfare and finding the rich were bad? I guess not if they support you and your communist ideas.

Take for instance my wife got her student loans forgiven and I know some don’t agree with it, but she had a 3% interest rate and we will surely spend some of that money, likely around half of it because of the life point we’re at and my son being in college now. Our sales tax rate in NYS is 8.75% so NYS will probably make more money than they would have off us paying back the entire loan. The feds so get some of that but I’m not sure how much.

Tax Credits are not paying people. Its simply waiving taxes that would have been collected. Its like when the bartender slides you a drink. He didn't "pay" you $7 for that beer, he just didn't charge you what he was supposed to by rule.

Remember a few years back AOC fought vehement against an Amazon hub in her district because of a $3 Billion tax credit? Well, it was expected the hub would bring in $10 Billion over the period of the credit, and create 25,000 jobs. But it got axed because it was portrayed as NYS writing a check to Amazon for $3B.
