I much as I would love to go to war with overweight pussy hat wearing lesbians and pajama boys since even the asthmatic paunchy redneck that is myself could lick any one of them barely breaking a sweat, I'm always reminded of the constant refrain from quite literally every war that was been waged since the fall of the Roman Empire:
It'll be a quick war, our soldiers are better than theirs.
Honor/right/God is on our side. We cannot be defeated.
We'll just kick the whole rotten mess in.
Land war in Asia? No problem! (had to throw that one in there for comic relief)
And my personal favorite and perhaps the most sadly profound:
The boys will be home for Christmas.
Civil War 2.0 will not be short, pleasant nor easy. It will be, to paraphrase Thomas Hobbes, nasty, brutish and protracted. But when the day comes, fight it we must.
