The city will burn tonight. The officer(s) who shot Brianna Taylor will not face charges for her death. One officer has been charged with endangering her neighbors for bullets which passed through the wall into the neighboring apartment.

"Based on interviews with neighbors, Cameron’s office determined that the officers announced themselves before busting down the door of the apartment occupied by Taylor and her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker. Cameron said Mattingly and Cosgrove were justified in the use of force after being fired upon by Walker and his office will not pursue criminal charges against them."

Despite the (probably) good intentions of these civilians, they should probably not be bringing their arms to a mob situation. If they are planning to protect their own property and family, fine. Otherwise, they are "playing police." That will not end well for anyone.

As I've told others, my firearms are to protect my family, myself, and my home. I am not a police officer. I am not a soldier. I have no business patrolling anywhere with openly carried firearms.

Best way to avoid getting killed in a gun fight...don't get in a gun fight.

I believe that these people are being tactically unwise. Numbers always win.

As I’ve said before these people have no idea what they are doing because they have no escalation procedure/rule of engagement. If a rifle does not intimidate then what? When do you use it? Defend homes and people. Let these people burn the businesses and let the politicians own that.

While I think no knock raids should be banned except in a few certain cases (known kidnappings, rescuing a hostage) from my undrstanding this case was not a no knock raid.

Civil asset forfeiture was good on paper but gets abused and should be stopped.
