Funny thing. When the people in power finally succeed in making people feel anonymous, powerless, and isolated - this is what happens. All these shootings because the message that "you're worthless" sinks in to the point that to a depressed and hopeless person, everyone is now worthless - and violence becomes the only outlet that desperate people see as a way to be "seen and heard." Then their actions fuel even stricter regulation and even more control. Hopefully, the world won't be as neat and tidy dystopian science fiction novel - and there will be a point where rational people realize that unless they push back, and push back hard, there will be a point of no return. The question is - will that point be seen before it's too late? I'm starting to wonder. The fact that these Party leaders feel that it's OK to state that the people who oppose them are "deplorable", "not Americans", and "require re-education" - AND not only get away with it, but are applauded for it? Maybe we're not totally fucked yet, but it's close. It's really close.

Oh - and "the shooter" (because that's all the recognition I'll ever give the sick fuck) needs to put put down like a rabid coyote. Some sickness goes beyond redemption and "it" crossed that line.

It should be standard procedure to not take these kinds of people alive, I dont care if they give up , hands up or wounded.

civil rights human rights are for people, not animals When someone starts doing shit like this, just pull the fucking plug.

No matter how you slice it, killing innocent people you dont even know is un defendable . there should be an automatic shoot on sight order in these cases. Jail is for criminals not animals

I concur with your thoughts, and on a tangent related to the "Trans" Shooters, I believe it applies there as well.

508.080 Terroristic threatening in the third degree.

(1) Except as provided in KRS 508.075 or 508.078, a person is guilty of terroristic threatening in the third degree when:

(a) He threatens to commit any crime likely to result in death or serious physical injury to another person or likely to result in substantial property damage to another person; or

(b) He intentionally makes false statements for the purpose of causing evacuation of a building, place of assembly, or facility of public transportation.

(2) Terroristic threatening in the third degree is a Class A misdemeanor.

My guess is he's too big of a coward to kill himself.

IMO his attack and motive shows he's just a selfish asshole with 0 coping skills or mental abilities.

He probably hasn't planned or thought this through very far and it's not likely he has some grand escape strategy.

And when he realizes or hears he didn't actually kill anyone he will think he can get away with lesser sentencing and justify that to himself. He's probably trying to live off the land which he will succeed for about 4 more days before he's all bit up by bugs, hungry and tired and decided maybe being captured isn't the worst thing it sounds like a relief.
