Krispy Kreme tells student to stop donut reselling service in Minnesota
FUCK OFF KK
This has been a major beef of mine for a long time.
Let's say you buy a Ford. When you are tired of it, Ford tells you can't sell it. Nope.
Not to your daughter, not to your neighbor.
And maybe Ford doesn't want it back either - or maybe they will take it back on a penny on the dollar.
WHAT GIVES THEM THE RIGHT ??
If I buy some lousy donut, or car, why can't I resell it ? It's mine- I paid for it !!
This is called the FIRST SALE DOCTRINE, and was reaffirmed by the Supreme Court in 2013
Supreme Court: You Bought It, You Own It, You Can Resell It
I bought some crap manufactured by BULBHEAD at Home Depot for 90% off a few years ago. I bought it - I had receipts.
I soon discovered BULBHEAD complained to eBay and Amazon, - I could not re-sell their shit.
Grounds - Copyright Violation - WTF ???
Once you buy it, the SCOTUS has determined you can resell it as you wish.
How does Krispy Krème and others go unprosecuted ?
