I already said I don't agree with it. Not sure what more you want from me. I'm not in charge of the legal system there. Some say OJ went free because otherwise the city would burn. Not spot fires like you've seen on tv, but burned to the ground. It was the easiest path forward. It is common for official bodies to do what will cause the least harm to the community. 1 guy in jail or the entire city destroyed and many deaths? They take the easy way.

Don’t care if LA burns. I live in Syracuse there is so much apathy here (just the way the ruling class likes it) no carries matches.

Seems a bit complicated. More so unlikely, like most complicated plans EX-like those for the antagonist in an action film. More complicated =more unlikely. What would IMO be more plausible is the side with better representation and evidence, be it the state or the plaintiff, presents a more compelling argument sways the jury in thier favor.

I never said "everyone". But more and more it is happening. Especially in high profile cases and highly charged situations where cities will burn if people are let go. Be very careful. If you must use a weapon to defend yourself, you better make sure a security camera has you in view running for your life. Otherwise you're going to have a big problem. Even if you have to flea through a restaurants kitchen and go out the back door, or jump out of a bathroom window, you better do it if you know what's good for you. Especially in NY where you have a duty to retreat. A gang could come after you and it will be presented that you could have jumped out of a second story window to get away but you decided to shoot instead and you will have a problem. Sad indeed.

That in itself should have been enough to release him. Want true change? Stop having DA'S being elected officials. The law would be better served rather than swayed by public opinion.

That's a good question. Obviously I haven't fleshed out the entire thought. But I also wouldn't want to hijack this thread with unrelated ideas: )

Sadly you are right. It would take all good, gun owning patriots to feel like their livelyhood/safety was genuinely at risk to literally take up arms for a civil war type scenario.

Until we feel that our ability to protect and provide for our families is at risk, 99% will not take that step.

Kyle Rittenhouse DID "fire the first shot" so to speak. If the jury decides he needs to be "sacrificed" for the greater good then it essentially proves that the Rule of Law is now null and void. It means you could be peacefully sitting in your home when the gestapo burst through the door and you are "sacrificed" to the greater good just for being white, or for living in a nice house, or for being a specific religion.
It's past time those who support law & order start fighting back.

If the other guy had fired first then Kyle might have fired no shots.................
