La Crosse County plans ammo collection event
Anyone from La Crosse County with unwanted ammunition can dispose of it properly on Saturday.
Go figure, I've been collecting ammo for years.
First 5 pounds disposed of free.....then $5 per pound.Next they'll have a "Gold Recycling Drive."

Yes, I have some rusty pliers. Will they take it from my teeth?
So.......................
50 rounds of 9mm weighs ~ 1 pound (according to my antique kitchen scale and rounding down a bit).
If I were to turn in 300 rounds of 9mm the first 250 (5 pounds) would be free but that last 50 (1 extra pound) would cost me $5.
Now, if I'm following this right.................. I would be paying the county $5 to give them 300 rounds of factory 9mm ammo that on today's market I could, instead, sell for about 50 cents a round or $150 for the whole 300.
And I am to believe that the county employees who are probably all hunters and gun owners are then going to send $150 worth of perfectly good 9mm ammo to the incinerator and not a single box is gonna get misplaced in the process.
Okay, got it.
If my kids did that I'd break some hands!I would not be surprised if a bunch of dumb ass college liberals raided their dad's ammo supplies just so they could turn in some ammo to take a picture of themselves doing that, so they could show it to their friends and post the pics on Fakebook
