A-5728, Prohibits the use of lead ammunition in the taking of wildlife on wildlife management areas, state forests, forest preserves, state parks or any other state-owned land that is open for hunting and on land contributing surface water to the New York City water supply. Companion S-5058 on 3rd Reading.

A-6389, Extends provisions authorizing big game hunting in Albany county until October 1, 2024.

The only info I could find about water is that the absolute miniscule amount of lead that would find its way into water, would be EASILY removed by the most basic water treatment.....including a $2 pitcher filter.....not to mention the mega million dollar filtration that most drinking water goes through.
The major factors for lead in drinking water comes from old water pipes and solder flux used to connect pipes.
