I wanted to know if any of you guys have experience with the Lee Reloading Stand. I've read positive reviews about it but I don't know anyone that owns one. I would be mounting my Lee Turret Press to it to reload 9mm for now but I'll be reloading big bore rifle in the future. My main question is if the stand moves when resizing and priming on the press.
I know there are hundreds of other options out there but I don't have the room for a workbench. All I have now is a corner of a bedroom. This stand would fit just fine. There are also instructions to make an extended work area that can be bolted to the stand. So this set up seems like a perfect solution for me.
When I want to reload now, I have to go through a ritual. It involves taking my Lee Turret Press Kit out, unboxing the entire kit, bolting the press to a board, clamping it to our kitchen table, setting my dies, adjusting the powder measure, etc. Then when I'm done reloading I have to tear it all down, box the entire kit, and put it back in the closet. In addition to that, our table is so light that when I prime on the press the table actually moves. I can successfully reload this way, but it's a pain.
So, what's your experience with this stand? Is it sturdy? Will it slide on the floor while resizing or priming on the press? Thanks for your help.
