Left-handed ARs

got to shoot an AR9 and loved it. The wife also loved it.
However, she didn't like that it was spitting powder in her face. She has to shoot lefty because her right eye doesn't work.

she would like me to build her a left-handed AR9 or AR22.

I've done some looking around, but other than Gibbz I can't seem to find anything that is specifically lefty for AR9s and nothing for AR22s.

Southpaw here too there are a couple of things you can do to stop the spitting in a 9mm PCC:

1) 308 buffer spring with the heaviest weight buffer you can find. I run a rifle buffer at 11 ounce with a 308 carbine buffer spring.

2)CMMG bolt and barrel combo with a heavy buffer. The CMMG has a bolt carrier group similar to the 5.56 BCG. It delays the bolt opening enough to stop the spitting.

In all of my travels I have not seen a left handed 9mm PCC.

Lefty here. Never had a left handed rifle in my life and have had plenty of semi autos. When I had my CZ scorpion evo I ran into the same problem occasionally. I put a brass catcher on the gun and the netting seemed to almost eliminate it. Bonus points is that because I was catching all my brass I didn’t have to spend time picking it up.

my friends 9yr shoots right handed but leans over and uses left eye for sights/scope .. he can hit the target

the only thing he shoots left handed is his bow he got last year ..

also would like to say .. my old 22LR moss .. right handed and I'm a righty shooting .. it sprays powder junk in my face at times ..

But I'm trying to encourage her to become more active with regards to guns and shooting.

Besides....who doesn't want yet another gun.

The program manger for the M16A2, a USMC Major was a lefty and hence the nub by the ejection port that helped lefties. Then no more hot brass in the elbow joint or down your shirt. They did make left hand firing adapters for the range in basic training but often unavailable but it just a plastic device that snapped on to the carry handle using the hole. There is YT video somewhere when he explains everything in the A2.

Stage Arms made the model 7 Hunter in a lefty version and 6.8 SPC and it works well for deer with Sierra Nevada 110 ProHunter pointed soft point bullets. I think Nosler bought them.
