There's a ton of things to push for that we all probably agree on legislation wise. However, I only have so much time I can only devote and need to probably focus on few.
One particular thing I'd like to see is progress on the topic of getting direct initiatives enacted in NY state. Direct initiatives, if you're not aware, allow people to gather signatures and directly enact legislation -- bypassing corrupt politicians. That's the reason why Newsom is running in fear in CA right now, and why Cuomo could give less about nursing home deaths.
It's not the only thing to push for, but it feels like an almost pre-requisite to all other action to push to get this place. There needs to be teeth, and a path, to change. Perhaps this is even a good time to push for it as well, as people may see a lack of action on the the part of the NY state senate against Cuomo as a need for such power being returned to the people.
To be clear, this doesn't guarantee that anything will pass or enough signatures will be gathered, assuming we ever have this power. However, it does give a path to forcing the hands of politicians who don't bend the knee to the people -- a power we lack currently.
Anyway, this is just something particularly pressing that comes to mind. There are tons of other things I could list, but this seems like one possible place to start. While there are an infinite amount of opinions to hold, there are probably only a handful we can address at a given time, energy wise.
