Not always . I have seen so many false allegations of that when they know the person is a cop. How did I determine it was a lie? I asked the so called victim to describe the gun. They are often wrong about the color and type . I have heard everything from a Dirty Harry to a silver gun to black gun and vica-versa. They have many different service guns and off duty guns to choose from. And we ask where did they draw the gun from too. Sometimes they are right where the officer’s holster is , sometimes they are wrong but they can’t claim the gun was switched otherwise they would saw it in most of the situations I had to deal with.
And sometimes the officer is completely justified in drawing their firearm .
I would like to see the unedited video. When the accountant took a pen to his neck ( I don’t know if that’s true) , did the officer think the guy going to a John Wick pencil trick ?
The road rage? It was he saw his son “casing his house” — that’s in the edited video— whatelse was said . We don’t know yet— but it’s mischaracterized as road rage . What did he mean by “casing “— There is more to this story than what the news is saying .
There might be some ring camera video of it.
But it could be all true. We will see.
