That sounds good, but, if the powers that be don’t care about your “inalienable” rights, then they will take them as soon as they can. Words, in the end, mean nothing. We are far down the “frog in the pot” road. We may be too far down it to get any real pushback to the taking of our “inalienable” rights. Look at what just happened in Boulder. Colorado. Just a short time ago, that would have seemed impossible.
I dislike liberals and their agenda, but I don't let it distract from the fact that our gun rights are chipped away by the middle of the road politicians from BOTH political parties. They are not RINO's or cowards, they are wise-ass politicians who play indoctrinated idiots like a fiddle.

Both of my parents were teachers for a combined 94 years. Now my sister is a teacher.
All 3 of them saw the "indoctrinating your kids" thing coming and fought back against it.
My dad and sister taught/teach at more rural, prominently 2a friendly, heavily Repub/Conservative schools.
My mom taught 44 years at Jamestown High School.
While in a very conservative area, JHS has more of the "urban" students versus the rural students where my sister teaches and the "upper middle class" students where my dad taught for 50 years.
When my mom retired from the Jamestown school district, there were 9 pregnant girls in the one middle school, thats 6th, 7th and 8th grades.
That same year, there were zero pregnant girls in my dad and sisters school districts in the middle school age.
Anyways, the kids learn the same, its the parents that have changed.
As my dad has noted, starting in the early 90s, parents are becoming less involved in their kids lives.
30 years ago when describing their parents, kids used words like "respect, brave, smart, love...."
Now they use words like,"asshole, mean, hate, dumb......"
My dad says that kids changed before his eyes when the "treat your kids like friends" trend started.
My point is, because many parents are failing teaching their kids, the leftists have found a way in.
I know many kids that were raised well and will never fall for the liberal crap.
We see it here on this site with stories of members kids being smart, upstanding, gun loving citizens.
A properly raised child will not fall for garbage.
Kids are smart but many leftist teachers are using scientifically proven methods of brainwashing.
A kid with a good head will see right through it though.
What I hear from most teachers is they want more of this and more.of that, gimme, gimme, gimme. More money, more time off, more benefits. More of everything. Then I see the deplorable numbers coming out of almost every school district.

I agree that the parents have changed but something else to ponder is that I believe this started earlier than the 90's. I believe this started when Mom went back to work. Say the mid 60's. Yeah I'm old... but a generation prior most Moms were "stay at home", mine was until about 1968. Everybody knew pretty much where Mom was just about any time of day. What happened next was people started living beyond their means. We need a new car, or another car, or a bigger apartment, or a house. What happened was pursuit of the American dream. Throw in a little instant gratification by buying on credit, fast forward a generation or two and presto, here we are...
On a brighter note, one thanksgiving my 3 adult children were home visiting and seated at the table eating when I said " I want to apologize for being such a prick when you were growing up but I wanted you to know that I couldn't have done it without you "... For a second you could hear a pin drop, shocked faces turned to smiles, then laughter broke out. I was never my childrens friend. I was a good dad.

If you are talking to teachers that want more time off, then they are the epitome of laziness.
Weekends off, summers off and weeks off for holidays.
I know alot of teachers, ive never heard one say they wanted more time off.
In fact, I dont know a single one that doesnt have summer jobs.
I know teachers that paint houses, ones that waitress, ones that tutor.....during the summer.
Hell, Iknow a handful that teach summer school.
As far as more money.....dont you want more money?
I dont know about where you live but here teachers get pretty acceptable benifits. Good health and dental, good pension.....
Another thing about their pay, after 50 years, my dad still made less than my GF does after 6 years as an HR manager of a big box store.
Many teachers do get paid a shockingly small salary.
My parents never complained. Their combined salary plus summer work gave us a great life.
