Libertarian VP Candidate Admits Defeat, Tells Voters To Pick Hillary

If we were in a battleground state, you may have a point. But, let's be real. In NY, you could combine the votes for the Republicans, Conservatives, Libertarians, Constitutionalists, and all the other parties, and the Democrats would still win.
New York is a longgggggggggg shot, but it is not impossible for Trump to take the State.
I think many people will be surprised at how many Democrat States will end up going for Trump.
Americans do NOT want the Hildadike. They hate her, they despise her. She will NOT win!
I'll give you 20-1 odds. How much money you want to put on Trump taking NY?

I am so sick of people saying a vote for anybody else but Trump is a vote for Clinton...Why do people automatically assume my vote is Trump's and if I don't vote for him I am taking it away from him? It's MY vote. Not Trump's. Not Clinton's. Not Johnson's. Not Stein's. It's MY vote to give to whoever I feel is most fit to be the leader I want. Trump and Hillary are terrible. They are both just as bad as the other. Trump has not proven to me that he is any better than Clinton. With this said, I will be writing in McMullin and Finn.

On the topic of abortion - I'm not a fan of it being used as a form of birth control. If you're healthy and you're gonna give birth to a healthy baby, then keep it and give it up for adoption if you didn't want one. I'm more pro-abortion in terms of healthy mother or a woman who got raped. If the mother has a chance to pass something on, then I don't think she should endanger her child by passing that on. Same for someone raped. I wouldn't wanna carry some scumbag's baby inside me for 9 months, being constantly reminded of that situation. No fucking way. So I agree with @GOPerfect when he says too many babies are getting sucked and scrambled out. That's not right, but I have my own terms of it.
Maybe it's not what he's said or what the websites say he stands for - but I also don't see Trump being sympathetic towards the LGBT community. I have family and friends that are gay and I know people that have gone under the knife for sex changes. I think it should at least be up to each state to decide, but we're still looking at this wrong. I know some people are religious or raised on the Book or whatever, but I wasn't. I wasn't taught that someone being gay or trans was wrong, it was just what they were/they wanted. It's not a problem for me if someone wants to be whatever they want to be. It shouldn't be such a big arguing point, and yet it is. I don't like his attitude in how he treats people like the making fun of disabled people, etc. I know that goes against what some people say here in the pussification of this country, but we shouldn't have a president who mocks people and who they are. Be a fucking adult. It's not about anything other than respect. He doesn't respect anyone.
Like I said before, and I hope to not have to explain it much more again, but this country has bigger issues than gay rights, disabled people, and abortion. I'd like to see immigration fixed up, so if you're working here and paying taxes but you're illegal, what's keeping you from becoming full-on US of A? I'm not supporting free-loading illegals, but there's a way to make the people here contributing full-time employees, so to speak. Our 2nd Amendment is under fire, every single day there's another asshole dragging us down and giving Clinton more ammo to just grab the guns or make it impossible to get what the rest of us law-abiding citizens have earned. We don't need to be out butt-sniffing every country out there, backing these people to block those people. I don't give a shit. Our deficit is retarded. I have no problem taking the defense budget and channeling it into vets and people that need the help here. We don't need to give money to Syrian refugees, we need to give it to the guy who was told that fighting for his country was a huge honor, but as soon as he lost a leg, he didn't get the help he deserved. They need mental and physical help and rehab. They're not getting it, so they're killing themselves. Race relations are at an all time low, it's fucking ridiculous how bad it is out there. We have people fighting about who's gay, who's black, who's a cop, who wants to take a shit where; all the while old fucks in Congress keep passing laws under those headlines to give themselves raises and keep themselves in office until they die.
So no, I'm not in favor of Johnson/Weld, I'm in favor of the party. I'm not a liberal. I may have liberal views on some things, but I also probably have conservative views too. I'd probably vote for Trump if he wasn't such an asshole towards people, because I do think we need some of what he's got.

Of course its your vote, but there are only two viable candidates. Not voting for either one is a default vote for the other that's just the reality of it. Now Nirvanafan has a good point about us here in New York, but it's a dangerous mindset that people all across the country have as they do not like either candidate. Since Hillary has the establishment advantage, by not voting for Trump it gives her the upper hand more so than it would give Trump the upper hand.
You're not just voting for a candidate you're voting for the Supreme Court that will be the check and balance against unjust laws for the next 30 Years. You're either going to have a socialist court or a conservative Court and you have to choose what's more in line with your thinking. If you don't care either way then throw away your vote and vote for Donald Duck, that's your prerogative.

The only time I have an issue with another mans vote is when he just goes with the flow and cannot explain why that vote is being cast. I have little issue with opposing opinions, if we are having an honest conversation, tell why you feel the way you do.

I agree with what you said. If you feel strongly about something, you should be able to tell me why you feel that way. If you can't explain it or just regurgitate garbage, then I don't really believe you. One thing people do know about me is that when I get to feeling a way about something, no matter how unpopular, I stick to it. I don't let others sway me, unlike this current generation of people, they seem like they can be bullied into one opinion or out of their own.
I'm always up for civilized discussion, it's how I learn about people and things. It's also part of my nature, in that I can see multiple sides to everything. Unfortunately, it puts me in the middle of a lot of situations when people say "pick one side or the other." I just don't have that in me a lot of times.

Let's be real here. Trump is no Republican and Johnson is no Libertarian. If Trump was the Libertarian Candidate from the beginning and Johnson was running on the Republican ticket and opening his mouth and saying stupid things just like Trump is doing, (which he would and nobody can deny because he already has in the little airtime he's gotten) you would vote Trump.
Trump actually matches many Libertarian views as far as the free market and the 2nd Amendment goes.
There is never going to be a candidate in one party that matches the party views 100 percent. Hell, as voters, nobody can actually fit 100 percent into a party. As voters, we are supposed to look at the candidates and vote according to who has more issues in common with us.
So if Trump was running Libertarian against Johnson the Republican, I'm sure your views you just stated lean more towards Trump than Johnson unless you are for lax immigration on those that wish us harm and cannot be vetted and regulations on the 2A. Both of those issues Trump is against.
And yes. A vote for Donald Johnson and Daffy Weld is a vote for Hillary and I'll explain why. As an educated voter, you know one of the two will actually win the election. To think otherwise is foolish. So a vote for Donald and Daffy causes one less vote to go against a candidate that you have more in common with that makes it easier for Hillary who you have nothing common with to win and take it all. It is simple mathematics. If she gets 5 and Trump gets 4 and Johnson gets 1, she wins. So your protest vote caused a candidate to get in there that you are 100 percent against.
But what it really boils down to if you vote for a candidate that has no chance of winning is the untrue notion that you sat this one out so you could look at yourself in the mirror and say that you had no part this when in all reality, you actually did and your protest vote or no vote at all helped shape the country into the very path that your ideology despises. You may look at yourself in the mirror and say this while your children have to live with it for their lifetimes and their kids lifetimes.

He's a colossal asshole. I'll admit I wasn't as up to date about all of his policies, but I figured we were close enough based on the other things I've read. What about his economic views? I know he's a business man who doesn't make money by giving money, so what's he gonna do about the rampant inflation in the housing industry and the education departments? I've vowed to never borrow money for school again, I'll learn my own way, now that I've racked up enough community college bills. The fact that these institutions have such power to charge so much when there's nothing out there (I'm not defending the poetry majors) is what infuriates me. Price of cars and houses keeps going up, and yet, my salary doesn't go up as much each year. My fault for not picking a millionaire job out of college? Absolutely. Fact still remains that the same jobs that a husband could hold and let his wife stay at home, take care of the family, and live comfortably (I'm not talking about having every single creature comfort and whatnot, but comfortable enough) are simply not enough anymore. Now I gotta get the wife out of the house, and pay someone to watch my kid, and cut back on a lot of things. Again, my fault for not landing a $75k/yr job right out of college and for living in NY, but just because I live here doesn't mean I deserve less.

The long and short, is a lot of the things that have created higher inflation is also related to a big government. I believe that Trump will shrink the size of government which will lessen the burden on the taxpayer and give us more income in our pockets. He is a businessman and he knows how to make money. I believe this will directly translate into our country making money. I think he will shrink the deficit and get more jobs going here in this country again. When more people are working and more people are producing compeyetive products that lowers the price of everything, it's simple supply and demand.
I've always said that Trump is like a blunt instrument. Unfortunately the country kind of needs that right now because we've gotten so far off track and the government is disgustingly bloated. he has made commitments, that are written down, and that he will work to change this.
So if you can look past the fact that he said some stupid things and focus on the fact that he has commitments that he has made to better the American people, I think that makes it a little easier for people to pull the lever with his name next to it.
And remember the things that he is said are far less important than the things Hillary has actually done.

Conversely, if the Libertarian party gets enough vote, they'll get funding in the next election, and that's what I really want. I hate the current 2 party system and the walls set up to cockblock them. That funding would definitely help

I also despise the two party system. But when the next 30 years of the Supreme Court is on the line I'm looking at this from a different perspective. I was an independent my whole life, I changed it to republican when my cousin Chris was running for congress as a way to support him. But I will be changing my party status again shortly. I agree a lot with what the libertarian party stands for but I am not a full-on Libertarian. I just know that the Republican party does not have my interests at heart. But back to the main point , the only two possible people that will be president or Hillary or Trump and I prefer to have a trump pick Supreme Court for the world I'm giving my children.
