It's laughable if the .gov actually convinces themselves that the average citizen will actually believe the very long series of highly improbable events that all go against highly regimented S.O.Ps to protecting former presidents/presidential candidates is utterly laughable.

The list of procedural, organizational and tactical failures is so long and egregious it's almost a million to one chance that they all failed randomly at precisely the same time and as an attempted assassin (potentially handled by a foreign agent) was stalking the leading Presidential nominee who had requested and been denied more security is so highly improbable. No one actually believes this because it's that ridiculous. It was allowed to happen.
