Local Gunsmiths

I'd like to replace the POS stock on my Savage B-Mag (bull barrel) with a Boyds rifle stock. But I have zero experience in bedding a stock. Any recommendations for someone relatively local who can properly handle this without having to ship the rifle?

Had mine done by Van Tassels in Evans Mills. But that is a long way for you to drive.

I've heard a couple good things about Precision Gunsmiths in Valley Cottage, Rockland Co. No personal experience yet...but almost ready to drop off my grandfather's Mossberg 46B for some resto work. I just need to do it already.
