LOL, there aint an AR-15 to be found anywhere

so Im working on the rear brakes to my 2014 E250 Ford Van, and if you have never had the pleasure of replacing the rear brakes, my suggestion to you is, either have it done for you, or trade the truck in on almost anything else. Quite possibly the stupidest set up ever.

I pulled the entire brake assembly off and took it down to a friend that has a shop, he says "sure no problem" 10 minutes later he hands the entire assembly back and says, go get a new one, cost you $100 bucks, these suck"

I digress, anyway,

a conversation ensued on where he could find an AR-15. I asked, did you try Allstar Tactical (although he still owes me $340 from about 10 years ago, never work from allstar, he'll never pay you, but if owe him money, holycrap, look out) My buddy said, ya, all he has is SWAT guns

How about the Firing Pin, nope, their closed

How about Gun broker dot com,--- he's going to try that tonight

How about American Sportsman in E. Roch----nope they got nothing

try Liberty Guns in Farmington....didn't try there yet

anyone know any local guns shops that might have an AR laying around

I overheard the guy behind the counter at Good Guys Guns and Ammo on the phone telling the caller they have a small number of AR-15s due. They are in Nanuet NY

Rear brakes on some cars with disc are fine. It's the combo ones I struggle with. I had an MPV and the rear brakes on that I was just unable to ever get adjusted right after they rusted up and I had to do a break job.

Did you check klubfunstore? Google says closed down, but last time it said that it wasn't true. Klubfunstore Closed? It's out of a guy's house, but he's friendly. He has had ARs before and often has a number of unfinished lowers.

He used to winter in Florida, so he was closed for half the year. Hes now permanently relocated there.

you could also try grabagun, but it's probably a long shot that they'd have something NY compliant right off the shelf.

A friend of mine tried to buy an OTHER and they are all sold out. I was at the range on Saturday and pretty much everyone at the small bore had one.

Ballistic Advantage has complete uppers starting at $340. He can build out the lower in an hour or two if it’s his first one. He can have a rifle in a week if he buys everything at once (depending on transfer of stripped lower).

DD's Ranch in Alden ( a bit east of Buffalo ) has stripped lowers, parts kits, and complete rifles. I would call and confirm that Dean has what you want first, but I'm sure he has some.

He could get a stripped lower from dd ranch for around 130 or so.
