Our founding fathers knew what they were doing ~240 years ago. The Brits just keep reinforcing the monumental decision those brave souls made.

Correct. The British people have not yet fought to separate themselves from the British government. When they do that, they can be "America II." Until then, they can wallow as "subjects" instead of citizens.
It's sad but Britain is a lost cause.
There are some there who genuinely want freedom and to not be subjects but about the best they can do is organize "free Tommy rallies" or "pro trump rallies" or "pro brexit rallies" when they are permitted to do so.
Think of how sad that is.
We should all view Britain as a contemporary case study on what can happen when government gets too big and powerful and the gradual erosion of freedoms. Many western European countries are right in lock step with them, and if the dems here get their way we won't be far behind.
Anytime you hear a politician here talking about things like "banning hate speech" you should immediately be skeptical and resist it. Enacting hate speech laws are what will lead to only the politically "preferred" leftist groups being allowed to demonstrate etc..

I don't recall the UK having a constitution and BOR declaring freedom of speech. Kinda like one of the exact reasons our founding fathers put their necks on the line.
