Got off my butt and built the lower I had laying around. Going for a late 80’s / early 90’s M16 vibe. For now I put a Magpul pro rear sight on. I eventually want to add a rear carry handle with the brownells retro scope (reissue of colt scope) and a bayonet to complete the look. Did fixed mag on this one

You can only shoot as well as you can see. The cold hard truth of it is 99% of the rifles out there can outshoot 99% of the shooters out there, day in and day out. The rifle doesn't give one flying F about wind chill, snow, sleet or rain.

I'd personally much rather deal with an economical rifle, and quality sighting equipment, than the other way around.

You left out a good barrel. The best shooter can make a trash barrel shoot sub moa

I don't have the first gun my dad gave me at 5 years old . It was a Daisy BB lever that lost my attention when my dad got me my first pellet gun at the age of 7 (47 years ago ).. A .22 cal Slavia model 622 he found used at Sykes gun shop in Sherrill Ny. My searches suggest it was most likely made in the 60's..Killed countless pigeons with this growing up in Oneida.

Here is the RD RAK I picked up this week, hoping to get it out to the range this week coronavirus permitted lol. BTW any one familiar with these rifles? My first AK type and not 100% sure on add ons and upgrades which I would like to do one day.
