Definitely a keeper. I love those loooong magnums. As far as glass, get something with an unlimited warranty for that bad boy. Have 700 also, but in .375 H&H. I run an old redfield on it.
Absolutely love to shoot it. Keep yours or you’ll regret it.

Finally picked up the Henry .22 that I snagged on GB two weeks ago. My FFL guy was pretty ill and then hospitalized for a week . He’s getting better now and I was able to pick it up. After cycling the action several times I’ve gotta say this is the smoothest action that I’ve ever felt. Butter smooth , fast and the trigger is light and crisp . I’m going to really enjoy shooting this gun!

Here's a few!
A '21 SP3, that in the past month, I've shot exactly 350 times, up at Orvis Sandanona for sporting clays.
A '19 Mossberg Shockwave 500 Chainsaw, that I converted to full tactical.
A '64 Belgian Browing light 12, that my old man handed down to me.
A '60 era Ruger .22 (another hand me down and first gun I ever shot at 5 or 6 yrs old).
PS: the Browing and Ruger are at the house in Suffolk, so had to pull down pics from the net....

I only have a few long guns. A Beretta A300 Outlander 12 Gauge, a Mossberg Patriot Revere in .308, a CZ 457 American in .22 WMR (I also have the .22 LR barrel for it), a Ruger 10/22 Talo edition with the AA French walnut stock, a 1936 Erma E36 precision target rifle in .22 LR, a Savage MSR Recon and two Daisy Red Ryders, lol.

I recently inherited this beautiful Ruger No.1 in .458 magnum from a relative. I don’t yet know what I’m going to do with it. I don’t believe that it has ever been fired more than a handful of times. I’d like to shoot it just once but I’m not entirely sure that I want to be kicked by this mule.

I have one in 45/70 and it's just superb!
You can get about 30% more horsepower from the .458 over the 45/70....I do suggest a Mouth Guard when shooting heavy loads.
I have Brass, Dies, Bullets, and proper Powder for the .458WM, but no gun...yet.
I have a Weatherby in .375 H&H and a Steyr in .376 Steyr: They'll make you develop a flinch after five or six rounds.

It's been a while since I've made a visit to Runnings (in Rome) but wow! The biggest gun inventory I've seen since Hochul took office. New layouts for the handguns too. Much easier to see them now. I'm embarrassed to say but I didn't even take a peek at the ammo cases. I don't really need any but that usually doesn't stop me from looking or buying more.
Stocking up for a possible Harris election win?
