Thank you! Just some basic entry level shotguns. 870express and mossberg 500. Actually inherited a cool one from my Dad after he passed. A bolt action mossberg 16ga. Picked up my first semi auto. Baretta A300 (don’t think I’ll be going back to pump now lol) and just started hunting with my cousins so I scooped up a Savage 110 in .308. Interested in learning about the AR platform

Welcome. AR platform is great but can be a source of debate here in NY. Lots of misinformation out there and plenty of threads here on the forum. Suggest you look up NYS Penal law as it applies to firearms as it details what is legal/illegal in NY. Most of the BS laws target the AR platform features and capacities.

Off topic, just because I've been reading news stories about it, has the current coronavirus pandemic been any sort of a reason on why you are now looking to become more of a gun enthusiast? Or is it totally just coincidence.
