thinking of a new medium priced scope for my Remington vtr in 308 moving the leupold from it to my 1963 700 bdl 06 it has an old 1X4 weaver. kinda like either the Vortex Viper or the Bushnell thoughts?
I bought 3 Vortex Vipers this year.
After doing some research and reading real world reviews I went with Vortex glass and I couldn’t be happier. I recently put the Crossfire II on my new CZ 527 and the clarity is amazing!
Agreed, but the little extra weight isn’t enough to be a deterrent IMOThe clarity of the glass and the warranty is hard to beat at their price point. They do tend to be a little heavier
Might like to give one of these a try against the Vortex. Doesn't hurt to try.Blackhound Optics...! I have 4 of them and the price points are ridiculous for what you get. PM me and I can even get you a discount code. Lifetime warranty, Illuminated reticle, Parallax adjustments on all the larger scopes, and several different magnifications for different applications. Small company, but gaining a LOT of traction. EXCELLENT glass and many of their scopes come in both MOA and MilDot. Prices range from $275-$450 and you get a lot for your money including rings, installation tool, and bubble levels for mounting. I will NEVER buy another brand of scope... I have their 6x24x50 for $399, 2- 4x14x44 for $299 and the 1x8x28 for $450... Absolutely some of the toughest and best tracking scopes I have ever owned...
