Looking for opinion on Shockwave pistol grip

I’m pretty sure this would be legal but would like some feedback.

I want to change the grip on my Shockwave to a Knoxx breacher pistol grip Gen 3 in this pic. It would keep it at the required 26” overall length requirement.


I really can’t do the swap without creating an Illegal configuration when grip is removed so I would have a buddy with a class 3 license do the swap. Only other way to do it would be to install a longer barrel, swap then reinstall the shorter barrel but they are not compatible.

I have issues lol!

just slide a 10 inch piece of black iron pipe on the barrel ... pvc could work too if its black .. then your good to change stock and not do a take down

An SBS is DESIGNED TO BE FIRED FROM THE SHOULDER!

Putting a pistol grip is only gonna fucking kill your wrist when you shoot it.

Yes, you're right. I meant to actually phrase that as a question, "isn't the whole reason", not as a statement.

I agree with Uzi, although I think the TAC 14 with the Magpul fore end is superior. If you want an illegal 14" bbl 12 bore, just buy anyone and whack it off.

Once you do anything to change these "not firearm" shotguns, especially in NY, you are heading for an arrest.

IMHE, the gun as is, loaded with short shells, is just fine. I put a light and laser on mine and can shred a man target at 20 yds with #1 or #4 buck.

Same guy who wants a pistol grip would probably put a 350 crate engine in an XK 120.

Reading the letter above... I'm actually not sure anymore. I was under the impression that you'd inadvertently make an SBS out of something that was manufactured as a "firearm" rather than a shotgun. Or potentially you could throw the arm brace on, except it ain't a pistol, so you aren't making a SBR, or..... fuck. Wtf.

What I would like is a wooden birds head grip and fore grip for my shockwave. Any ideas where I cant get it?
