Hey everyone, I didn't abandon you... I just don't use my computer too much. I think I'm going to go ahead and buy a 10/22 as my first rifle. There's been a lot of great responses in this thread and I appreciate everyone's input! Might aim for a 10/22 Tactical if I can find one locally.

As of today, I'd recommend starting your permit process unless you can purchase in the next 90 days.

After that, it could take up to a year for a permit.
