Looking for suggestions on a new pistol

Hey guys and gals. I decided I am in the market for a new pistol, I have some visa gifts cards I need to use. I don’t really keep up on the latest and greatest pistols. I am open to any suggestions, semi or revolver.

If I had to have a reason to get a new pistol, I would say for edc or hunting. I don’t really have a good edc but I plan on getting a g26 or g43x with my gssf coupon, which I have money already set aside for. I have a g40 10mm for hunting. I plan on buying more glocks when I get more coupons. It could be a range toy, but I have a g17 for that lol. I do not own a revolver anymore. I am also open on caliber

Obviously, the choice is very personal, but if you have no revolvers I would consider one of them. They've versatile, good for self-defense, recreational, and hunting applications (depending on caliber and barrel size) and just fun.

I am intrigued about the 10mm that Edwardteach72 mentions. I've been thinking about possibly getting a 10mm but have been leaning toward getting it in either a Glock (either the G20 or G40) or perhaps a Sig P220.

I'll echo what livingston said about that the P320 is a nice shooting gun (I'm probably still slightly partial to Glocks though) and I like mine. It was included in the recall and I did have it shipped back to be repaired. I'd like to think that newly manufactured ones have been fixed of the issue.

I was thinking about a coonan 357 1911, runnings had one the last time I was there. Did some looking and it looks like coonan is “restructuring” and a lot of people did not get there pistol, Some have waited over a year. They r no longer taking phone call. Gander outdoors has a 15% off coupon on kimbers. Not sure on a 1911, there’s a lot of part in those.

I plan on getting the g20 or 29 someday. I do like my g40, wish I was able to sight it in before last hunting season. Really wanted to use it.

Checkmate is a competition gun if you play gun games. For more practical usage check out that "P" series of striker fired guns.

Yup, mine is a CZ 75 BD. Fullsize 9mm metal, decocker, hammer fired, no manual safety. Checked all the boxes (for me).

just bought a sig P320/M17 it's already back to the factory for repairs with out ever being fired bought it over the Beretta APX because the military adopted it even though I liked the trigger on the Beretta. wishing I'd bought the Beretta. had the opportunity to shoot a Dan Wesson 1911 in 9mm yesterday it was sweet. also can't recommend Kimber too highly or Colt or Smith . own them all and only keep what works for me also own a couple of Beretta 92's most reliable pistols in my stable little big and heavy but always get the job done

Not to be that guy but you should have avoided the "m17" specifically because even the army is regretting the decision and having constant problems
